Registered Nurse – Med/Surg

Location: Brooklyn, NY
Contract: 18 Weeks
Shift: Night | 3×12 Hours
Time: 7:30 PM–8:00 AM
Hours: 36 Hours/Week
Pay Rate: $64–$66/hr

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years Med/Surg experience

• Recent experience within the past year

• Large acute-care hospital or post-acute facility experience

• Physical assessment and medication administration

• Wound care and infection control

• IV therapy

• Post-operative care

• Patient education

• Telemetry monitoring

• EPIC EMR preferred

• Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution

• Active New York State RN License with Primary Source Verification

• AHA BLS

• AHA ACLS required for Queens assignments

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.

• Provide direct bedside care to pre- and post-operative patients.

• Administer and document medications.

• Perform wound care, IV therapy, and catheter care.

• Monitor vital signs and patient responses to treatment.

• Operate and monitor specialized medical equipment.

• Perform telemetry monitoring.

• Report changes in patient condition and adverse reactions.

• Assist with discharge planning.

• Educate patients and families regarding procedures and post-operative care.

• Maintain accurate patient records and medical documentation.

• Follow nursing, safety, and infection-control standards.
