Registered Nurse ICU

Job Summary:

Providing specialized critical care to COVID-19 patients in a high-acuity ICU, this RN role involves managing advanced interventions including VV ECMO. The position requires a dedicated professional capable of delivering exceptional patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Administer vasoactive drips and advanced hemodynamic monitoring to critically ill patients.
  
  
• 
  Perform and manage complex procedures such as ECMO, CRRT, chest tube insertions, and central line placements.
  
  
• 
  Monitor patient responses and adjust treatments to ensure optimal outcomes.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to implement and update care plans.
  
  
• 
  Document comprehensive patient assessments and interventions accurately in Meditech system.
  
  
• 
  Ensure compliance with infection control policies, safety standards, and unit protocols.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Hold an active Texas RN license; temporary licenses are not accepted.
  
  
• 
  Possess at least 2 years of recent ICU experience, preferably in a COVID ICU setting.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate proficiency with vasoactive drugs and hemodynamic management.
  
  
• 
  Certified in BLS and ACLS.
  
  
• 
  Have additional skills such as ECMO and CRRT experience preferred.
  
  
• 
  Be comfortable floating across units as needed and working every other weekend.
