Maintenance Director I Nursing Home 

Are you a dependable, experienced Maintenance Director that takes pride and ownership in your work? If so, we would love to hear from you! 

This is a highly visible, hands-on role for someone who takes pride in keeping a building safe, functional, well maintained, and looking its best. The Maintenance Director will manage preventative maintenance, repairs, inspections, vendors, and day-to-day building needs while responding quickly when issues arise.

What You'll Do

• Take the lead on the overall maintenance and upkeep of the facility

• Perform and coordinate routine repairs involving plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general building systems

• Develop and maintain a strong preventative maintenance program

• Conduct regular building and grounds inspections and address concerns promptly

• Ensure life safety systems, emergency equipment, and required inspections remain current

• Manage a maintenance team and ensure projects are being prioritized

• Coordinate outside contractors and vendors when specialized work is needed

• Maintain maintenance records, inspection documentation, and required logs

• Manage department supplies, equipment, and inventory

• Prepare the physical plant for regulatory surveys and inspections

• Respond to urgent maintenance needs and participate in emergency preparedness

• Work closely with facility leadership to prioritize projects and capital needs

• Help ensure residents, families, and staff experience a clean, safe, and welcoming environment

What We're Looking For

We're seeking someone who is practical, organized, and comfortable being the person others rely on when something needs to get done.

Previous experience overseeing maintenance in a healthcare, skilled nursing, senior living, commercial, or similarly regulated environment is strongly preferred. Candidates should have solid knowledge of general building maintenance and be comfortable managing multiple priorities at once.

Experience with life safety requirements, healthcare regulations, preventative maintenance programs, and survey preparation is a plus.
