Keypath Education is supporting Wilkes University's search to build a pool of qualified adjunct faculty to teach in its Nurse Practitioner (NP) and Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) programs within the Passan School of Nursing.

This is a rolling recruitment process intended to establish a pool of candidates for future needs. Applicants will be contacted as opportunities become available.

Wilkes University invites applicants for a variety of Adjunct Graduate Nursing Faculty Positions in the Passan School of Nursing, in the NP and DNP programs.

Job Description

The successful candidate is responsible for teaching online Graduate Nursing courses in the NP and DNP programs and has an excellent understanding of and practice-based experience in one or more of the course areas and specialties indicated below.

• Advanced Health Assessment
• Advanced Pathophysiology
• Advanced Pharmacology
• Advanced Practice Adult-Gerontology I & II
• Advanced Practice in Psych/Mental Health Nursing I & II
• Clinical Modalities in Adv. PMHNP
• Diagnostic Reasoning for NPs
• Epidemiology & Environmental Health
• Family Nurse Practitioner I & II
• FNP: Role Children & Families
• FNP: Clinical Children & Families
• Psychopharmacology
• Scholarly Review

Qualifications

• Doctorally prepared (PhD/DNP) candidates are preferred for core didactic and NP specialty courses. Candidates currently completing terminal degree may be considered if they demonstrate significant relevant clinical and academic experience
• A minimum of two years of current advanced clinical practice experience is required for NP specialty didactic and clinical courses
• Current, unrestricted RN licensure in a compact state; candidates teaching clinical or NP specialty courses must hold or be eligible for Pennsylvania RN/APRN licensure and maintain applicable national board certification
• A minimum of two years of successful online teaching experience for courses from an accredited university at the graduate level 
• Communication and taking a lead role in multi-level problem solving with students, Wilkes University administration and staff
• Proven ability to engage students in active learning to meet required course and program outcomes
• Experience with learning management systems (LMSs); D2L / Brightspace preferred
