Job Summary The electrical service technician is responsible for installing high‑quality electrical field work and taking measures to increase the company’s effectiveness and efficiency. The technician also installs and coordinates all types of service projects, performing installations independently or managing and working with journeyman and apprentice electricians. He/she provides leadership and technical guidance while maintaining customer service. The technician plans and coordinates work, ensuring necessary materials, tools, equipment, and job information are ready on site or in the service van ahead of time. Essential Job Responsibilities Perform layout, plan and execute small jobs while leading a small crew. Make general written estimates of time, materials, and manpower required to complete service tasks. Communicate with vendors, engineers, owners, service managers, and other contractors to ensure jobs are completed within scope and on budget. Develop and maintain respectful, positive working relationships with clients and identify sales opportunities. Minimum Qualifications Minimum 4 years documented field work or completion of a 4‑year electrical apprentice program. Excellent understanding of the electrical industry. High attention to detail and strong interpersonal skills. Self‑motivated and flexible to adapt to a fast‑paced, ever‑changing business environment. Preferred OSHA 10/OSHA 30 certification. Physical Demands and Work Environment Outside most of the time. Potential exposure to extreme cold and hot temperatures, limited working surfaces, noise above 85 decibels, intense odors, areas with limited visibility. May involve climbing stairs and ladders to access trenches or elevated platforms (scaffolding). Lifting equipment and materials 1–50 pounds, 50% of the time monthly. Driving may be required; a valid driver’s license and proof of insurability are required, and drivers are subject to a DMV background search. This role requires compliance with all applicable safety regulations, personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements, and Loenbro's Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) policies.
