Provide expert speech and language therapy services to outpatients, focusing on adult and pediatric populations. Assess, diagnose, and implement treatment plans to improve communication and swallowing functions. Responsibilities:
- Evaluate patients' speech, language, cognition, and swallowing abilities to determine therapy needs.
- Develop and execute individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate patient care and ensure optimal outcomes.
- Document progress and adjust therapy strategies in accordance with clinical guidelines and compliance standards.
- Educate patients and families on therapy techniques, exercises, and progress expectations.
- Maintain accurate records of treatment sessions, ensuring documentation meets all regulatory requirements.
- Hold a valid state license to practice as a Speech Language Pathologist.
- Certified by ASHA (American Speech-Language-Hearing Association).
- Be BLS certified; AHA preferred.
- Possess at least 1 year of outpatient adult and pediatric therapy experience.
- Demonstrate exposure to language, cognition, dysphagia, brain injuries, apraxia of speech, voice disorders, and Parkinson's disease.
- Ability to provide proof of high school education; college degree preferred.
