URGENT: Housekeeper Wanted - Seeking A Highly Experienced Housekeeper/Laundress For A Private Upper East Side Residence $40 An Hour

This is a long-term, part-time role for a detail-oriented professional with a strong understanding of high-end garment care and formal household service. The role includes daily upkeep of the home, with an emphasis on maintaining a high standard of care using appropriate techniques for delicate surfaces and materials. The ideal candidate is organized, discreet, and comfortable working within an established household system, including assisting with formal table setting for entertaining. Responsibilities:

• Daily upkeep of the residence (5 days/week, 4 hours/day) using green/non-toxic products
• Care for high-end and delicate surfaces, using appropriate materials and techniques
• Follow a detailed household cleaning binder and established procedures
• Laundry care including washing, pressing, steaming, folding, and proper garment organization
• Monitor household supplies and communicate when inventory is low (comfortable using email/computer)
• Maintain the home in a consistently tidy, organized, and guest-ready condition
• Occasional light errands (non-routine)
• Assist with light entertaining preparation (e.g., formal table setting)

Requirements:

• Prior experience working in private homes
• Strong garment care skills, including delicate and high-end fabrics
• Experience in formal or semi-formal household environments preferred
• Highly detail-oriented, organized, and reliable
• Able to work independently and follow established procedures
• Discreet, with strong references (personal and at least three recent professional)
• Fluent in English
• Comfortable working in a home with a small dog
