Position Highlights Location: Avera Ear, Nose & Throat, Sioux Falls Worker Type: Regular Work Shift: Day Shift Pay Range: $22.50 - $41.25 Additional RN Pay: $27.75 - $41.25 Additional LPN Pay: $22.50 - $31.50 Potential sign‑on bonus: up to $10,000 Student Loan Repayment: $167 per month, up to $10,000 total Job Summary Responsible for providing professional nursing care to patients and families. Communicates with physicians as well as other healthcare team members to provide excellent patient care. Responsibilities Perform general nursing care to patients. Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards. Coordinate patient care activities for the clinic. Prepare equipment and assist provider during procedures, treatments, examinations, and testing. Observe, record, and report patient’s condition and reactions to drugs and treatments to provider. Oversee appointment scheduling and ensure preferences are given to patients in emergency situations. Maintain timely flow of patients. Greets patients and prepares them for physical examination. Screen patients for appropriate information including obtaining health history and vital signs. Document collected information in patient chart. Instruct patient in collection of samples and tests. Respond to patient phone calls in a timely manner with appropriate input from the physician. Educate patients and families about diagnostic process, medications, nutrition, and maintenance of health and wellness. Suggest solutions to patient care crisis problems and complaints. Maintain exam rooms with necessary supplies and materials; ensure cleanliness. Prepare list of medical supplies needed. Assure appropriate labeling of pathology specimens according to lab protocol. Perform quality control and maintain records on all lab testing. Essential Qualifications The individual must be able to work the hours specified. Required Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Board of Nursing‑An active license in the state of practice available upon hire.
