Basic Purpose: To provide a safe and reliable fleet by performing preventative maintenance and proper repairs on all fleet equipment. Essential duties and responsibilities: Perform preventative maintenance within company standards; Complete documentation of all repair orders, PM list and parts accountability; Handle road service calls; log repairs in the software system; maintain a clean and safe work environment; maintain inventory; backup to other maintenance shop personnel; willingness to assume increased responsibility and Certifications; performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: 5 years of verifiable hands-on experience as a heavy-duty commercial diesel mechanic; diagnostic and troubleshooting ability using fleet maintenance software; must furnish own personal hand tools; EPA and OSHA regulations compliance; read and understand technical manuals; strong communication and teamwork; ability to manage multiple functions in a fast-paced environment; high school diploma or equivalent; valid driver’s license. Preferred Qualifications: JPRO software experience, welding, electrical schematics, Microsoft Excel/Word, leadership experience, Class A CDL and DOT certification, EPA 608 certification. Physical Requirements: detailed list of physical demands and typical job duties; ability to stand, walk, drive, bend, kneel, lift up to 50-100 pounds, and operate tools and equipment.
