Our client, a leader in heavy industrial operations, is seeking a Forklift Operator to join their team on 2nd shift. As a Forklift Operator, you will be part of the logistics and warehouse support team, ensuring efficient loading, moving, and handling of materials. The ideal candidate will have previous forklift experience, ability to follow directions, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Forklift Operator

Location: Altavista, VA

Pay Range: $16.55

Shift: 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.

What's the Job?

• Operate gasoline, diesel, electric, or propane-powered industrial trucks with lifting devices such as forklifts, elevating platforms, or buckets.
• Assist in loading and moving materials within the facility to ensure smooth operations.
• Conduct safety checks and maintain equipment to ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Support team members in warehouse organization and inventory management.
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.

What's Needed?

• 1 year of experience operating forklifts or similar industrial trucks.
• Ability to pass background check and urine drug screen.
• Proof of education required. High school Diploma or GED
• Strong attention to safety and detail-oriented mindset.
