Key Responsibilities
- Teach assigned courses in Radiologic Technology according to established curricula and academic standards.
- Design dynamic, engaging instructional environments that promote student success.
- Guide and mentor students in theory, lab, and clinical components of the program.
- Maintain regular office hours for student advising and academic support.
- Participate in ongoing curriculum development, assessment of learning outcomes, and program improvement initiatives.
- Incorporate multimedia and innovative teaching technologies, including virtual and augmented reality, to enhance learning experiences.
- Collaborate with faculty and department leadership to strengthen program quality and student outcomes.
- Engage in professional development and stay current with advancements in radiologic technology and clinical practices.
- Support accreditation activities, advisory board meetings, and institutional initiatives.
- Use the Canvas Learning Management System (LMS) and other educational platforms to facilitate instruction and evaluation.
- Contribute to program review, student recruitment, and community engagement activities as needed.
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology, Health Science, or Healthcare Administration.
- Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field.
- Current certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- California Department of Public Health Radiologic Technologist (CRT) license.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience as a licensed Radiologic Technologist.
- Prior teaching experience in higher education or clinical instruction.
- Advanced modality certifications (CT, MRI, Mammography, Nuclear Medicine, etc.).
- Experience with radiology information systems (RIS, PACS, Epic) and familiarity with HIPAA compliance.
- Demonstrated ability to integrate emerging technologies in instruction (e.g., simulation, AR/VR).
- Strong commitment to student development, equity, and inclusion.
- Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
