Product Development Engineer (Manufacturing Packaging) You don’t just design products. You bring them to life on the plant floor. From concept to commercialization. You’ll connect sales, customers, and operations to turn ideas into scalable, high-performing packaging solutions. What You’ll Own This is not a desk-only engineering role. You’ll be on the floor, in trials, and in the middle of real decisions. Lead end-to-end product development across extrusion, press, and conversion Translate customer needs into practical, executable manufacturing solutions Design and execute trial runs that actually surface risks before scale Partner with Sales and customers on new business onboarding Troubleshoot quality issues. Internal and customer-facing Evaluate new materials and alternative sources within quality and cost targets Drive process improvements and efficiency gains across the plant Act as the technical bridge between product, operations, and commercial teams Support quoting and new business through CRM ownership (PD perspective) What Makes You a Fit 5+ years in manufacturing product development or engineering Experience working hands‑on in production environments Packaging experience is a strong plus. Films, extrusion, or converting preferred Strong problem‑solving mindset. You don’t stop at symptoms Ability to manage multiple priorities without losing momentum Comfortable working across teams. From operators to executives Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field preferred What You’ll Experience Real ownership.
