RN Labor and Delivery NightsProvide care for patients utilizing fetal and maternal monitoring equipment. Manage the patient's pain including epidural and patient-controlled analgesia administration. Assist physician during delivery, treatment, examination, and surgical procedures. Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate utilizing computerized documentation systems. Provide patient and family education on labor, pain, and newborn care.As a Registered Nurse, oversee patient care using a professional practice model. Responsibilities include patient assessment, recognizing health issues, creating care plans, and assessing patient responses. Secure patient travel. Know about patient needs in healthcare. Help patients and prevent issues.
