Position Overview Experienced Systems Engineer. Company: The Boeing Company (Boeing Global Services). Location: Hazelwood, MO. Program: KC-767 International Tanker Program. Position Responsibilities Focus on Diminishing Manufacturing Sources (DMS) obsolescence resolution for the KC-767 International Tanker Fleet Support. Support proposal development and project execution for new capabilities. Exercise critical thinking and innovative problem solving. Develop requirements documentation, test plans, procedures, and reports. Apply an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop, and verify a life‑cycle balanced system of systems and system solutions. Evaluate customer and operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters, and assure compatibility of all physical, functional, and program interfaces. Perform analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture. Develop and implement requirements management processes, tools, risk, issue, opportunity management, and technology readiness assessment processes. Resolve cross‑functional technical issues. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience) Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or a non‑US equivalent directly related to the work statement. 5+ years knowledge of engineering discipline(s) (e.g., electrical, mechanical, software engineering) applied to product‑related systems (e.g., aircraft, avionics systems) throughout the product development life cycle, from concept development to deployment. 5+ years knowledge of aircraft systems (e.g., navigation, avionics, fuel, hydraulics, pneumatic, etc.) including operations and troubleshooting. Ability to communicate with technical personnel from multiple skill areas and functions, evaluate technical information, and resolve design, production, and support issues. Skill and ability to collect, organize, synthesize, and analyze data; summarize findings; develop conclusions and recommendations; and provide technical solutions to a variety of difficult problems of moderate scope and complexity. Capable of evaluating customer and operational needs to define system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters, and assure compatibility of all physical, functional, and program interfaces. Received general direction for work that is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives. Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience) Experience with business applications. Experience dealing with ITAR requirements. Systems Integration Lab (SIL) experience. Experience with aerial refueling systems/platforms. Experience with aircraft avionics (COMM/NAV) systems. Experience with civil and/or military certification/qualification.
