About the Position

Job Title: RN - PCU/MS Float Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Progressive Care Unit / Med Surge Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a relevant setting License: Active RN License required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: - Epic charting experience required - Experience in IV therapy, phlebotomy, and blood product administration - Skilled in central line care and non-invasive airway support - Proficient in cardiac monitoring and interpreting dysrhythmias Description: The RN – PCU/MS Float must be comfortable working in all PCU and Med Surge units. The nurse may float within staffing needs every four hours. The role requires managing a patient ratio of 5:1 in PCU and 6:1 in Med Surge. The nurse will respond to emergencies via Rapid Response/Code teams. Experience handling PCA and heparin protocols is essential. Candidates must be capable of administering IV insulin and managing endocrine and metabolic conditions. Background in telemetry and step-down level care is preferred. The position requires weekend and holiday work based on scheduling needs. All requests for time off must be specified during the application process.
