About the Position

Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights (3x12 Hours, 19:00–07:30)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide PCU-level nursing care to a patient population ranging from adolescents to geriatrics on a Neuro/Stroke PCU floor with mixed medical, respiratory, and cardiac patients
• Titrate cardiac drips and perform continuous telemetry monitoring
• Manage patient assignments at a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio on a 36-bed unit with an average daily census of 30
• Utilize unit systems including Epic, Pyxis, and SBAR for documentation and communication
• Float within the facility and within scope of practice as needed
• Work every other weekend and fulfill holiday obligations per assignment schedule

Required Qualifications

• Active Georgia RN license or valid Compact RN license at time of submission
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience; first-time travelers accepted
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications required
• Experience with telemetry monitoring and titrating cardiac drips
• Ability to complete all compliance documents by the Tuesday prior to start date

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a Neuro/Stroke, respiratory, or cardiac PCU setting
• Familiarity with Epic and Pyxis systems
• Experience working with a broad patient population including adolescents through geriatrics
