Travel RN – Cardiac Cath Lab

Location

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Days | Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM | On-call coverage required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care in a Cardiac Cath Lab setting, supporting a 3-room unit with a staffing model of 3–4 staff per room
• Assist with and support a wide range of procedures including heart caths, CTO, high-risk PCI, ablations (AFib, AFL, SVT, PVC), device implantations (PPM, ICD, Watchman), peripheral angiography with and without intervention, ECMO cannulation, and thrombectomy
• Operate and monitor specialized equipment including X-ray, Impella, Penumbra, IABP, various stents, sheaths, wires, guides, and atherectomy devices
• Document patient care accurately using Hemomerge and Meditech Expanse EMR systems
• Participate in on-call rotation; on-call begins after daily cases conclude, with expected 24-hour on-call shifts covering Friday through Sunday

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in the state of Texas (or compact license eligibility)
• Previous Cardiac Cath Lab experience required ; candidates without this experience will not be considered
• Required certification: Radiology Technologist (RT) or RCIS
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Familiarity with Hemomerge and/or Meditech Expanse EMR platforms
• Experience with high-acuity interventional procedures such as ECMO cannulation and high-risk PCI
• Adaptable, collaborative, and easygoing personality well-suited to a fast-paced procedural environment
