Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Screening Technician in Orlando, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As a Screener, you will help maintain a controlled correctional environment by screening visitors, staff, and/or permitted items in accordance with site procedures. You will remain attentive, communicate professionally, document security-related concerns, and help deter unauthorized access. This role offers the opportunity to deliver exceptional service while working as part of a reliable, agile team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and individuals entering the corrections facility while carrying out site-specific screening procedures and policies.
• Screen individuals and belongings using designated screening equipment and procedures; verify access authorization and direct visitors as appropriate.
• Respond to alarms, incidents, prohibited-item discoveries, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Maintain accurate logs and incident reports, including visitor activity, screening results, and unusual occurrences.
• Help to deter unauthorized entry and prohibited items by monitoring assigned screening areas and reporting concerns to appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
