Engineer

The Hyatt Regency Denver Tech Center is a 4‑Star full‑service hotel in the Denver Tech Center. We are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer. Employee will perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation. The Engineering department oversees the operation of the hotel and works with a team that covers 451 rooms and 30,000 sq ft of meeting space. This role requires strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work across multiple systems. Responsibilities Maintain and repair paint, drywall, tile, and other interior finishes in guest rooms and meeting spaces Prepare and paint surfaces of the building structure, furniture, and equipment using proper application techniques and products Measure lengths and quantities and assess areas for repair Plaster or spackle surfaces, mix paint colors to match existing colors, and apply paint using brushes and rollers Install and repair covered wall and ceiling surfaces throughout the facility Hang vinyl wall coverings and maintain caulked, grouted, and masonry surfaces Set tiles, cinder block, brick, and conduct other masonry work as needed Prepare and maintain wood surfaces requiring staining, varnishing, and lacquering Perform other maintenance duties as assigned Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of building maintenance experience; hotel experience preferred Strong troubleshooting skills in guest rooms, meeting spaces, front‑of‑house, kitchen, laundry, electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems Ability to read blueprints and schematics Strong working knowledge of all major building systems, including life‑safety systems Good communication and leadership skills Willingness to work different shifts, weekends, and holidays as required Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stoop, kneel, bend, work at heights >15 ft, and differentiate between colors Benefits 401(k) – employer matching Health, Vision and Dental insurance Short‑term and long‑term disability insurance Life insurance Paid vacation and paid sick time up to 48 hours annually Birthday and holiday pay Free hot meal per shift in employee cafe Restaurant/Coffee shop discount Free covered parking RTD subsidized transportation Hyatt Hotels discounts EEO Statement Hyatt Regency DTC does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, age, disability, genetic information, or any other status protected by law or regulation.
