Minimum 6 months Paraprofessional or Special Education experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Make a difference every day by supporting students in an educational setting as a dedicated paraprofessional. This full-time contract opportunity, available from August through May for the 2025/2026 school year, is perfect for compassionate professionals passionate about helping individuals with diverse learning needs. You'll play a vital role assisting a range of students, from preschool to young adults (ages 3–21), including those with Autism and various behavioral and developmental disabilities.

Interviews are beginning the week of June 22—this is your chance to secure a rewarding role for the coming school year and provide essential educational support.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active Illinois PEL or Paraprofessional Certification is required
  • Experience supporting children or young adults with Autism and behavioral challenges strongly preferred
  • Proven ability to adapt to working with a wide range of ages and disabilities
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Commitment to promoting an inclusive classroom environment
  • Reliable and able to work full time Monday through Friday (32 hours per week), August through May

Your Impactful Responsibilities:

  • Assist lead teachers in classroom instruction and daily activities
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support as needed, both as a classroom aide and individual aide
  • Support students’ academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs with patience and encouragement
  • Foster independence and engagement in diverse learners
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions
