Job Title: Production Recycling Machine Operator

Job Description

This role focuses on operating a recycling machine to process foam and plastic materials, while also supporting general production and housekeeping tasks within a manufacturing environment. This role is entry level. 1st shift from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m

Responsibilities

• Operate a recycling machine by safely loading scraps of foam and other plastic materials into the equipment.
• Monitor the recycling machine during operation to ensure proper processing and report any issues to the appropriate personnel.
• Perform general production tasks as needed to support overall manufacturing output.
• Carry out housekeeping duties, including cleaning work areas and maintaining a tidy, organized production environment when not actively recycling.
• Handle, move, and load materials in accordance with safety procedures and production requirements.
• Follow all safety guidelines and use equipment properly to maintain a safe work environment.
• Work collaboratively with team members across shifts to meet production goals and maintain workflow.

Essential Skills

• Experience in general labor or production work in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Ability to operate machinery or willingness to learn machine operation with proper training.
• Capability to load and handle foam and plastic materials safely and efficiently.
• Physical ability to lift 20–30 pounds on a regular basis.
• Comfort working in a potentially loud environment while following safety protocols.
• Reliability and consistency in adhering to assigned shift hours.
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness and organization in the work area.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience with recycling processes or machine operation is an advantage.
• Experience in general production or warehouse settings is helpful.
• Willingness to work either 1st shift (6:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.) or 2nd shift (2:00 p.m. – 10:30 p.m.), depending on business needs.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and adapt to changing production priorities.

Work Environment

The position is based in a production facility where recycling and general manufacturing activities take place. The environment can be potentially loud at times, and employees are expected to follow all safety guidelines, including the use of appropriate protective equipment as required. Work involves regular lifting of 20–30 pounds and handling foam and plastic materials.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ontario, CA.

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
