Overview Mavis Tires & Brakes at Discount Prices is hiring for full-time Automotive Assistant and Service Managers to join Team Mavis at centers in the New Bern, NC area. Mavis has over 2,000 retail locations and is one of the largest tire sales and automotive repair chains in the United States. Responsibilities – Assistant Manager Support the Store Manager to ensure the retail location operates efficiently, safely, and effectively. Enforce established policies, procedures and standards. Schedule mechanics/technicians work and manage outside orders. Ensure quality and timely completion of jobs and meeting customer expectations. Maintain the safety of team members. Responsibilities – Service Manager Assist customers with tire selections and recommend under-car repair services as needed. Direct the workflow of Mechanics, Alignment Technicians and Tire Technicians; stage vehicle repair/maintenance work. Drive sales initiatives and communicate with customers to assess needs and provide information on repairs and maintenance. Ensure customer satisfaction and strive to meet customer expectations. Qualifications Minimum requirements: to be eligible for the position of Automotive Assistant / Service Manager, you must (1) be at least 18 years old; (2) be legally authorized to work in the United States; and (3) possess (i) 1 year of experience and/or training in automotive parts and/or tire sales, (ii) 1 year of experience and/or training in automotive repairs/maintenance, or (iii) any combination of education, training, and experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position.
