Electrical Assembler

Thompson First Group is seeking Electricians for contract-to-hire positions with a local client.

Responsibilities:

• Assemble, install, and test electrical and electronic systems, equipment, and components.
• Install and route conduit, wireways, and cable trays in accordance with NEC code, blueprints, and customer specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, and work instructions.
• Perform electrical connections, troubleshooting, adjustments, and repairs to ensure systems meet required specifications.
• Inspect completed work to verify quality and readiness for testing or final inspection.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, organized work area.
• Follow all safety procedures and actively participate in maintaining a safe work environment.
• Collaborate with team members to effectively plan and complete projects.
• Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to less experienced electricians, based on experience level.
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with company quality standards and customer requirements.

Qualifications:

• Experience in electrical assembly, installation, or industrial/commercial electrical work.
• Basic to advanced knowledge of electrical systems, circuits, and components.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and electrical drawings.
• Proficiency using hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing and measuring equipment.
• Understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and safe electrical practices.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Dependable attendance and effective communication skills.
• High school diploma or GED preferred, or equivalent experience.
• Journeyman or Master Electrician license required for advanced-level positions.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and work in varying indoor and outdoor conditions.
• Ability to work in a non-temperature-controlled environment.
• Ability and willingness to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Experience:

• Electrical Assembly: 1 year (Preferred)
• Industrial or Commercial Electrical Experience: 1 year (Preferred)
• Blueprint Reading: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Journeyman Electrician License (Preferred)
