Customer Liaison

Description:
The Customer Liaison serves as the primary on-site representative for the organization within an automotive manufacturing environment. Working closely with the Customer Quality Manager, this role is responsible for fostering strong customer relationships, facilitating issue resolution, and ensuring timely communication between the customer and internal stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary point of contact for customer concerns, quality issues, and product-related inquiries.
Coordinate with appropriate internal departments and personnel to ensure timely investigation and resolution of customer-reported issues.
Facilitate and oversee sorting, containment, rework, and other quality-related activities through approved third-party service providers as required.
Maintain a regular on-site presence at customer plants and/or warehouses for a minimum of two hours per day and remain available during all scheduled customer production hours to support urgent issues.
Develop and maintain strong working relationships with customer Supplier Quality and Industrial Engineering (SQIE) personnel and other key customer stakeholders.
Monitor customer concerns and communicate relevant information to leadership and cross-functional teams to support effective problem-solving and continuous improvement efforts.
Represent the company professionally and promote a positive customer experience through responsive communication and proactive support.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical or quality-related education/work experience preferred.
Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a quality, manufacturing, or customer-facing support role, preferably within the automotive industry.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with customers and internal teams.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and respond effectively to time-sensitive customer concerns.

**Additional Manager notes**

This role would be ideal for someone with previous manufacturing experience. It is a part-time position with flexibility to work between 20-40 hours per week, typically working 4-8 hours per day.
The initial assignment is expected to last approximately six months, with the potential for the candidate to be hired on permanently afterward.
Some of the primary responsibilities include:
Checking in at the plant and working with the Supplier Quality team
Walking the warehouse and inspecting inventory
Identifying and reporting any issues with Atmus parts
Supporting other quality-related activities as needed
There may also be some light travel to other Atmus locations.
The start time will be between 7:30 a.m. and 9:00 a.m.
Once the manager is ready to move forward, selected candidates will be scheduled for a 30-minute, in-person interview.
