Job Summary and Qualifications We are seeking an experienced RN who is ready to take that next career step up into a nursing leadership position as a Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) in the Intermediate Care Unit. In this role you will mentor and support your team to achieve the best outcomes as they provide direct nursing care to adult patients who are acutely ill and recovering from a wide variety of nonsurgical medical and post-surgical conditions. The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) delivers high quality, patient-centered care and coordinates all functions in the unit. In partnership with the management team, the CNC monitors and evaluates nursing care in accordance with established policies. The CNC serves as a resource for staff and supports an unparalleled patient experience. What you will do Partner with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate, evaluate, customize, and deliver high quality, patient-centered care. Assist with admission and discharge processes. Partner with subject matter experts and leadership team to support improved outcomes and service. Provide coaching, feedback, and training to improve performance and engagement. Assist with staff scheduling. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred). Current Registered Nurse License in Virginia or Current Multistate Compact License. 3+ years of current nursing experience in an acute care hospital setting preferred. 1 year of leadership experience in a hospital setting preferred. Current American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS or BCLS) Certification. CJW Medical Center is comprised of Chippenham Hospital and Johnston-Willis Hospital.
