Technical Support Specialist

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Technical Support Specialist for a direct placement position with a Managed Services Provider located in Pennington, NJ.

As a Technical Support Specialist, you will be part of a dedicated client services team for a fast-growing company. This role is responsible for ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of critical business systems and information that specific customers rely on. You will provide dedicated technical support and serve as the primary onsite resource, with support from a remote team.

Responsibilities:

• Provide excellent dedicated technical support for specific client customers
• Take ownership of problems from notification to resolution, including trouble ticket tracking and escalation
• Document problems and report to customer management and the Network Operations Center
• Support software and hardware installation, troubleshooting, and configuration
• Perform workstation imaging and re-imaging (Microsoft Windows)
• Coordinate and implement device and network changes as requested by the customer
• Troubleshoot peripherals, cards, and cabling
• Assist end-users with platform and technology-specific guidance
• Perform operational and administrative tasks to maintain high standards of system performance and availability
• Provide timely status updates for outstanding issues
• Escalate service interruptions and issues according to established procedures
• Develop subject matter expertise in customer-specific tools, technologies, and processes
• Document critical IT dependencies and collaborate with internal and external teams to remediate gaps

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in information technology, a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience
• 1-3 years of experience in a helpdesk or technical support role
• Exceptional time management, facilitation, communication, and organizational skills
• Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to come across as personable and confident
• Ability to identify opportunities for critical process improvement
• Committed to Integrity and Professionalism

Desired skills:

• A thirst for knowledge and continual improvement
• Able to demonstrate leadership and ownership regardless of position or tenure
• Experience with any of the following: switching and routing, systems and storage management, databases, firewalls, and optical networking

Pay rate range: $60K - $65K a year.
