Medication Access Coordinator

Working from home full-time, the Medication Access Coordinator will manage prior authorizations for medications, conduct benefit investigations, and serve as a liaison between patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers. Key responsibilities Complete prior authorizations and document referrals for medications based on third-party payer criteria Maintain knowledge of patient assistance programs and eligibility requirements to assist patients with medication affordability Communicate authorization status and assistance application details to the care team and educate providers and patients on specialty services Required qualifications High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED) required Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience required Knowledge of pharmacy reimbursement methodologies and medical terminology Experience in customer service within the healthcare industry Proficiency in computer literacy
