Job Summary

Our client is seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to join their outpatient clinic. The primary responsibilities include rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, completing medication reconciliation, updating electronic medical records, and managing patient flow.

Key Responsibilities

• Room patients and prepare them for provider visits in a fast-paced outpatient clinic.
• Obtain and document vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature, in the EMR.
• Complete medication reconciliation and review brief medical history with patients.
• Update electronic medical records (EMR) with visit information and patient history.
• Manage patient flow, supporting approximately 15 patients per day.
• Clean and reset exam rooms between patients following infection control standards.
• Communicate with patients regarding visit expectations and updates professionally.
• Coordinate with providers to ensure efficient clinic workflow and readiness for exams.
• Support standard outpatient clinical operations and maintain organized patient throughput.

Qualifications

• BLS Required
• EPIC EMR Experience
• Valid certification from a nationally accredited Medical Assisting program

Skills

• Proficiency in an electronic health record, preferably Epic.
• Effective interpersonal skills and demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in administration of medications and immunizations.
• Effective time management and organizational skills.

Additional Requirements

Monday - Friday 8am - 4pm. Candidates may be required to float to other locations as needed.
