Medical Assistant Apprentice

Compassion Health Care is seeking a Medical Assistant Apprentice to participate in a structured apprenticeship program designed to develop the skills and competencies necessary to become a Certified Medical Assistant. The Medical Assistant Apprenticeship Program is scheduled to begin in January 2027. This position combines full-time, on-the-job clinical training with online didactic instruction. The Medical Assistant Apprentice will work alongside the care team while gaining hands-on experience and developing the clinical and technical skills necessary to become a Certified Medical Assistant. As part of the apprenticeship program, the selected candidate will be required to complete 2,000 hours of documented on-the-job training and 200 hours of didactic training. Didactic training includes self-paced online modules and instructor-led sessions, some of which are offered outside of traditional working hours. Apprentices must complete the required training within the designated timeframe and maintain a minimum average score of 85%. The selected candidate must meet CHC's employment eligibility requirements, including but not limited to successfully completing pre-employment drug testing and criminal background screening. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Basic written and verbal communication, computer, and mathematical skills. Ability and willingness to learn and develop the clinical and technical skills required of a Medical Assistant. Ability to follow workflow and ongoing direction from supervisors. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Ability to use general computer applications and develop proficiency with CHC's electronic health record (EHR) and scheduling systems. Ability and willingness to complete all required on-the-job and didactic components of the Medical Assistant Apprenticeship Program. #J-18808-Ljbffr
