Description: Host / Hostess Parma Tavern | Buford, Georgia $12–$14 per hour, based on experience Parma Tavern is seeking friendly, professional, and hospitality-driven Hosts and Hostesses to join our Front of House team. For years, Parma Tavern has been a neighborhood favorite, serving an eclectic mix of Italian-inspired pub fare featuring stone oven pizzas cooked in our 600-degree brick oven, fresh pasta with made-from-scratch sauces, house-ground burgers, shareable appetizers, and an extensive selection of craft beer, wine, and handcrafted cocktails. What We're Looking For Previous host, customer service, or restaurant experience is preferred but not required Friendly, outgoing, and hospitality-focused personality Professional appearance and positive attitude Strong communication and interpersonal skills Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities Ability to remain calm and welcoming during busy periods Dependable, punctual, and prepared for every shift Team-first mentality with a willingness to assist wherever needed Strong attention to detail Flexible availability, including weekends Desire to grow with a stable and successful restaurant Position Responsibilities Welcome every guest with genuine hospitality and a warm first impression Manage guest wait lists using the restaurant's seating system Coordinate seating to maintain an efficient dining room flow Communicate table status with managers, servers, and support staff Answer telephones professionally and assist with guest inquiries Provide accurate wait time estimates and communicate delays when necessary Assist with takeout guest pickups when needed Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming lobby and host stand Open doors, acknowledge departing guests, and thank them for dining with us Support servers, bartenders, and managers during busy periods Complete opening, running, and closing responsibilities Help create a positive, welcoming atmosphere for every guest Guest Experience Standards Our Hosts are responsible for setting the tone for every dining experience. Our Host Team members are expected to: Create a welcoming and friendly first impression Maintain accurate seating rotation and table management Communicate effectively with both guests and team members Help minimize guest wait times whenever possible Resolve minor guest concerns professionally and involve management when appropriate Represent Parma Tavern with professionalism, enthusiasm, and genuine hospitality Schedule & Availability Parma Tavern serves guests throughout lunch, dinner, weekend brunch, and late-night service. Applicants should have flexible availability, including: Lunch and dinner shifts Weekend brunch Evening and late-night shifts Weekends Holidays and special events Opening and closing responsibilities as scheduled The strongest candidates are dependable, flexible, and enjoy working in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
