Job Full Description

Our client located in Cary, IL is looking for Sorters to join their 1st SHIFT team!

In this position, you will perform detailed inspection of precision-machined parts to identify non-conformance, maintain quality and safety standards, and keep accurate records. If you have a sharp eye for detail and enjoy working in a clean, organized environment, this may be the job for you!

Pay: $16.00/hr

Hours: Monday-Friday | 7:00am - 3:30pm

Sorter Responsibilities:

Perform detailed inspection of precision parts using a microscope and various gauges.
Identify and confirm non-conforming parts to ensure they meet blueprint specifications.
Accurately contain, label, and route production lots.
Provide supervisors samples for approval before completing job assignments.
Support inspection and secondary departments as needed.
Communicate with supervisor, foreman, and other departments regarding quality and job status.

Sorter Physical Requirements:

Adequate manual dexterity to handle delicate parts and tools.
Corrected visual acuity for reading directions and inspecting small precision components.
Ability to work for extended periods using a microscope, including frequent sitting, standing, bending, twisting, and stooping.
Able to lift and carry up to 30 lbs frequently throughout the shift.

Sorter Qualifications:

Ability to read, write, and perform basic math for counting and inventory.
Able to work self-directed in a multitask environment.
Computer proficient with strong keyboarding skills.
Detail-oriented self-starter with strong organization, communication, and follow-up skills.
Positive, can-do attitude.
Good attendance and work performance history.
Must be eligible to work in the United States.
