Job Title: Clienttion Therapist Profession: Clienttion Therapist Specialty: Clienttion Therapist Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 8 hours, Monday - Friday Experience: - Bachelors Degree in radiological technology or equivalent preferred - Master's Degree preferred - Experience in radiologic technology preferred License: - Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Clienttion Therapy (R.T.(T)(ARRT)) required - Applicable State Certification of Therapeutic Radiologic Technology (RTT) required Certifications: - Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred - Fluoroscopy Permit from the state of practice preferred Must-Have: - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor required Description: This position administers ionizing irradiation to patients according to prescriptions and instructions from department physicians. The role involves delivering the prescribed course of radiation therapy by checking prescriptions, diagnosis charts, and patient identification. The therapist will explain procedures to patients, including means of communication during treatment and basic treatment procedures. Daily doses are administered to patients while observing radiation safety measures for both patients and personnel. The therapist prepares the room and equipment for patients according to prescriptions or simulations regarding immobilization devices, transferring patients to treatment couches and paying attention to their special needs. Patients are observed for unusual reactions and signs of developing complications during treatment, with reports made to supervisors and department physicians. Maintaining a variety of records, including daily treatment records, is essential. The therapist regularly reviews patient charts to eliminate errors and to ensure proper recording of blood counts and special reports. Clinical supervision and evaluation of students' practical ability to perform procedures are part of the role. The therapist performs other job-related duties as assigned. Compliance with required vaccinations for employment and annually is expected, with medical and religious exemptions applicable. Participation in E-Verify is required.
