Phlebotomist I

Job Details Phlebotomist I – Riverside, CA. Schedule Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, with rotational weekends. Compensation Pay range: $22.70 – $26.45 per hour. Salary offers consider relevant skills, training, experience, education, certifications, and market or organizational factors. Successful candidates may be eligible for an annual performance bonus. Requirements State phlebotomy license required. Quest does not accept NHA licenses in CA, WA, or NV. Ability to navigate a computer and accurately enter data is required. English communication proficiency. Responsibilities Collect specimens according to established procedures (e.g., drug screens, biometric screenings, insurance exams). Administer oral solutions as trained. Research test/client information and confirm all orders using lab technology systems. Obtain identification and accurately enter billing information; collect payments when required. Process specimens (labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, and preparing for transport). Perform non‑patient responsibilities: inventory, supplies, sanitizing, filing, answering phones, and email as needed. Read, understand, and comply with departmental policies, protocols, and procedures. Assist with compilation and submission of statistics and data. Maintain phlebotomy logs (maintenance, temperature, etc.) promptly. Complete online and in‑person training courses on time. Qualifications Education High school diploma or equivalent. Medical training (medical assistant or paramedic) preferred. Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington. Experience One year phlebotomy experience preferred. Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred. Keyboard and data entry experience.
