Position Summary

Menahga Elementary School is seeking a caring, energetic, and student-centered Preschool Teacher to lead our Tuesday/Thursday AM and PM half-day preschool program. The ideal candidate is passionate about early childhood education and committed to creating a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment that supports the social, emotional, academic, and behavioral growth of young learners.

Qualifications

• Valid Minnesota teaching license in Early Childhood Education or related field
• Strong understanding of child development and early learning standards
• Ability to create engaging, play-based, and developmentally appropriate learning experiences
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Experience working with preschool-aged children preferred
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement engaging preschool instruction aligned with early learning standards
• Foster a positive, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment
• Support students' social-emotional development and school readiness skills
• Differentiate instruction to meet individual student needs
• Maintain regular communication with families regarding student progress and classroom activities
• Collaborate with support staff, specialists, and elementary team members
• Monitor and document student growth and development
• Maintain classroom organization, routines, and safety procedures

Contract Information

• Position: Part-Time
• Schedule: Tuesday/Thursday AM & PM Half-Day Preschool Program
• Start Date: 2026-2027 School Year
• Salary and benefits according to the negotiated master agreement and district guidelines
