Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Job Summary:

Seeking a skilled OR RN Circulator to join a dynamic surgical team. This role requires strong clinical expertise, certification, and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and oversee surgical procedures as the circulating nurse, ensuring patient safety and adherence to protocols.
• Monitor sterile field and surgical team activities to maintain compliance with infection control standards.
• Document all intraoperative events accurately in the electronic health record system.
• Collaborate with surgical staff and anesthesia team to facilitate smooth operation flow.
• Respond promptly to any intraoperative issues or emergencies, providing effective solutions.
• Maintain current certifications and participate in ongoing professional development.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active NY RN license at the time of application.
• Possess at least 1 year of recent OR circulating experience in an acute care hospital.
• Demonstrate proficiency with Epic charting systems.
• Be certified in BLS and willing to obtain additional required certifications.
• Capable of floating to different OR specialties as needed.
• Exhibit strong communication and teamwork skills.
