Team Lead of Early Childhood Services

NorthKey Community Care  is seeking a  Team Lead of Early Childhood Services who will be full-time on-site, Monday-Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, flexible as needed.  You MUST be independently licensed in KY.

QUALIFICAIONS

• Minimum of a master's degree in social work, marriage and family therapy, licensed professional counselor, or other related field from an accredited school.
• Experience working with children and families with emotional problems.
• Licensure in Kentucky or Eligible; prefer independent license.

JOB DUTIES

• To manage and lead all early childhood grants.
• To participate in community meetings regarding the early childhood population.
• To provide administrative support to early childhood therapists specific to grant performance outcomes.
• To work directly with childcare and preschool directors.
• To provide observations and consultations in childcare centers.
• To provide direct therapy services.
• Manage early childhood grants, including funding proposals, financial reporting, and report writing.
• Attend required meetings related to all grants.
• ·Develop and manage internal and external ECMH trainings.
• ·Introduce and support agency-wide assessment/treatment protocols based on best practice models for the early childhood population.
• ·Lead Strengthening Families implementation at both the agency and regional levels.
• ·Conduct bi-weekly staff meetings for Early Childhood Staff.
• ·Foster community planning and attend meeting groups, including Early Childhood Councils and grant meetings, and development of the RCFP model of care.
• ·Collaborate with other relevant agencies.
• ·Ensure representation of NorthKey at community events, including early childhood fairs and community baby showers, as relevant.
• Attend periodic regional consultation and supervision sessions conducted by a statewide early childhood mental health consultant.
• Coordinate and facilitate meetings with Head Start and preschool directors each year after DECA pre- and post-tests.
• Prepare and submit periodic service reports and evaluation data to United Way, the state, Children’s Home of Cincinnati, and internally.
• ·Ensure monthly summaries are submitted to preschool directors in a timely fashion.
• ·Ensure provision of individual and classroom observations, including administering and scoring the DECA and/or DECA-C questionnaire. Ensure strategy meetings are held with parents and teachers.
• ·Enter data in the Gentrax system for state consults, CECC, and trainings.
• Attend and participate in relevant continuing education and in-service training to improve professional competency and clinical intervention skills.
• ·Accept appropriate case as assigned by Lead Manager.
• ·Perform clinical psychosocial evaluations promptly.
• ·Complete diagnostic evaluations and recommendations. Provide ongoing individual and family therapy. Employee will develop and perform psychosocial interventions, utilizing the most appropriate evidence-based practice(s) to address clients’ symptoms.
• Develop treatment plans for clientele related to their diagnoses and symptoms, utilizing discipline-informed theories and interventions.
• Involve family systems in treatment planning, working with the family system within discipline-informed models of treatment to facilitate meeting their children’s needs.
• Utilize therapeutic techniques that involve families and clientele, specifically integrating discipline-informed theories that will include educational, supportive clinical interpretation, and theory-based interventions.
• Maintain multi-disciplinary working relationships with clinicians and other related professionals in the community. This will include making appropriate referrals, sharing of clinical information within HIPAA guidelines, and providing clinically appropriate multi-disciplinary interventions and collaboration.
• Assist with the implementation of expanded services and work as part of a clinical team to provide expanded services under federal grant funding programs.
• Maintain flexible working hours to meet agency and client needs.
• Maintain professional work conduct and ethical confidentiality. Employee will be knowledgeable of ethics and code of conduct for the discipline(s) licensed by, following these in their daily job duties.
• Ensure that professional licensure is current at all times, regardless of grace periods extended by licensing boards.
• Contributes to a culture of safety and quality by using data to support decision-making, improve services, and ensure positive outcomes.
