CVOR Registered Nurse - Palisade, Colorado

Deliver critical care and advanced expertise as a cardiovascular operating room registered nurse within a dynamic healthcare environment. This contract role seeks an experienced RN with a specialization in CVOR nursing to provide comprehensive perioperative care, ensuring the highest clinical standards for surgical patients.


Schedule/Hours:

• Full-time contract position
• May include on-call and float requirements within competency and qualifications

Qualifications:

• Current RN licensure in good standing
• Demonstrated experience in CVOR nursing
• BLS and ACLS certifications (or ability to obtain prior to start)
• Ability to perform independent and delegated nursing functions per state Board of Nursing guidelines
• Strong assessment, planning, and patient evaluation skills
• Proficient in health education, counseling, and patient advocacy
• Competency in documentation aligned with hospital and regulatory standards
• Flexibility to adapt to changing department needs, including floating

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality perioperative nursing care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient progress
• Administer therapy and treatment in direct or consultative roles
• Provide health teaching and counseling to patients and families
• Monitor and update therapy and treatment plans in collaboration with the surgical team
• Refer patients for further evaluation or intervention as clinically indicated
• Maintain accurate, compliant medical records
• Promote the mission, vision, and values of the organization through professional conduct and service behaviors
