Job Title

RN – ICU Float Pool (Travel Contract)

Location

Portland, ME | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Days | 12-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM) | Expected 48 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Float to multiple ICU units including Medical ICU, Neuro ICU, Surgical/Trauma ICU, and Cardiac/CTICU based on experience and unit need
• Float to Intermediate Care (IMC) units as needed, maintaining a patient ratio of 1:3
• Provide direct patient care for ICU-level patients including those who are sedated, intubated, and on vasopressors
• Maintain a patient ratio of 1:2 in ICU settings
• Demonstrate flexibility with assignments, including the potential to take multiple different assignments within a single shift
• Document and manage patient care using EPIC EMR

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in the state of Maine (or Compact license eligibility)
• Minimum 3 years of ICU experience in an acute care hospital setting
• Demonstrated ability to care for sedated, intubated, and vasopressor-dependent patients
• Willingness and ability to float to multiple units within the same facility
• Availability to work 75% weekend shifts as required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience across multiple ICU specialties (Neuro, Surgical/Trauma, Cardiac, or CTICU)
• Familiarity with EPIC EMR
• Strong team communication skills and adaptability in a high-acuity float pool environment
