Sr. Logistics Manager, Capital, Real Estate, & Emerging Tech

Overview The Sr. Manager of Capital, Real Estate, and Emerging Technology is responsible for helping to set and execute the strategic direction for supply chain investments across network infrastructure, real estate footprint, and advanced technology initiatives. This role ensures capital is prioritized and deployed effectively, business cases are rigorously developed for emerging technologies, and network decisions are optimized to support long-term growth, scalability, and return on investment. The position drives alignment across innovation, infrastructure, and procurement strategies—expanding capabilities in AI, data analytics, and engineering—while reducing operating costs and improving efficiency through centralized procurement and disciplined capital governance. Responsibilities Provide support and direction for area’s efforts. Manage all aspects of assigned area’s operations and programs. Participate in strategic planning and facilitate action on these plans for the assigned area. Provide technical logistics expertise on the assigned area as well as store/retail expertise as needed. Plan resources to complete competing priorities within the provided timeframe. Prepare project design and timelines. Select, develop, and motivate assigned staff. May have limited authority to negotiate transportation costs for in-bound and/or outbound freight. Direct Manager / Direct Reports Typically reports to Supply Chain Management. May have direct and indirect reports. Typically requires highly developed interpersonal skills for dealing with sensitive or controversial situations. Typically faces situations with various interpretations requiring careful evaluation. Typically considers new approaches within general policies and short-term goals when solving problems. Typically, once given general assignments, determines priorities and defines what should be done and how to do it. Travel Requirements Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time. Physical Requirements Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position; there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles. Working Conditions Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable. Under regular pressure to meet deadlines and quotas; may frequently deal with difficult issues related to people or situations. Minimum Qualifications Must be eighteen years of age or older. Must be legally permitted to work in the United States. Preferred Qualifications Nine to twelve years of experience is preferred. Experience in the Logistics field preferred. Management experience preferred. Minimum Education Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a field related to the job.
