Position Overview

Zenius Corporation is seeking a Senior QA / Test Engineer to ensure the quality, reliability, security, and usability of enterprise applications and technology solutions. The consultant will design and execute test plans and test cases, identify and document defects, validate system functionality, and collaborate with development and business teams to resolve issues before production release.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive test strategies, test plans, test scenarios, test cases, and traceability artifacts based on business and technical requirements.

• Execute functional, integration, regression, system, end-to-end, user acceptance, and production-readiness testing as required by the assignment.

• Identify, document, prioritize, and track software defects through resolution and retesting.

• Validate application functionality, interfaces, data flows, business rules, accessibility, performance, security, and usability requirements as applicable.

• Collaborate with business analysts, developers, architects, product owners, project managers, and end users to clarify requirements and acceptance criteria.

• Support test data preparation, environment coordination, release validation, defect triage, and go-live readiness activities.

• Contribute to test automation initiatives and integrate automated testing into CI/CD processes when appropriate.

• Maintain clear test evidence, status reports, defect metrics, and quality documentation for Zenius and client stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of software quality assurance, software testing, or closely related enterprise application testing experience.

• Demonstrated experience designing and executing test plans, test cases, and defect management processes for complex technology solutions.

• Experience with functional, integration, regression, system, and user acceptance testing.

• Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC), Agile/Scrum delivery, and quality assurance best practices.

• Strong analytical, documentation, communication, troubleshooting, and collaboration skills.

• Ability and willingness to work onsite or hybrid at Broward County Public Schools locations when required by the assignment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Postman, JMeter, or comparable technologies.

• Experience with Azure DevOps, Jira, TestRail, or comparable requirements, test, and defect management platforms.

• Experience testing ERP, cloud, web, mobile, API/integration, data, or enterprise modernization solutions.

• ISTQB, CSTE, Agile testing, or comparable certification; public-sector, K-12 education, or large enterprise experience is a plus.

Assignment & Compliance Expectations

• Assignment duration, schedule, duties, and work location will be determined by the applicable client request/purchase order and may vary by engagement.

• Selected consultants must successfully complete Zenius and client-required screening before placement, which may include reference verification, criminal background checks, drug/alcohol screening, employment eligibility verification, and client-approved fingerprinting requirements.

• Consultants must maintain professional conduct and comply with applicable client policies while working at client locations.

• This is a consulting/staffing opportunity; assignment availability and duration are contingent upon client needs, selection, and authorization to begin work.
