In this role, you will be the bridge between leadership and our workforce, translating complex ground vehicle portfolios and business priorities into compelling narratives that keep our teams informed and inspired.

Location & Schedule: We support a hybrid work environment for this role. We are looking for candidates based in or near York, PA or Sterling Heights, MI.

Key Responsibilities

• Product & Program Storytelling
  • Translate complex technical and program updates into clear, engaging content that helps employees understand how their work contributes to our ground vehicle portfolio.
  • Partner with program teams to identify and elevate internal milestones worth recognizing and sharing.
  • Develop a broad range of internal communications materials, including articles, talking points, intranet content, and event collateral, maintaining consistency in voice, messaging, and quality.
  • Create and manage long-term communications plans and schedules that keep product visibility efforts on track.
• Internal News & Announcements
  • Coordinate with the external communications team to ensure employees receive major company news internally.
  • Prepare internal briefing materials so leaders can speak confidently and accurately about company announcements.
• Small Events & Campaign Support Efforts
  • Lead communications for ground vehicle products, small campaigns, and events, coordinating materials and messaging to deliver a cohesive, professional presence.
  • Prepare event content and talking points and support senior leaders with coaching and preparation for speaking and opportunities at industry events.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure deliverables are completed on time and to standard.
• Digital Channel Management
  • Manage internal digital channels to deliver timely, relevant updates.
  • Support internal recognition campaigns that highlight employee achievements and team milestones.
  • Track content performance and apply data-driven insights to improve reach and engagement.
• Audience-Targeted Messaging
  • Tailor communications for different employee audiences, from individual contributors to senior leaders, ensuring relevance and clarity at every level.
  • Contribute to reactive communications and issues response, applying critical thinking to protect company reputation and uphold corporate values.
  • Gather and incorporate employee feedback to continuously refine messaging and improve communication effectiveness.
  • Lead effective meetings with internal and external stakeholders, managing relationships with professionalism and care.
• Thought Leadership & Culture
  • Support internal thought leadership initiatives, including leadership Q&A sessions, town halls, and fireside chats, that build organizational trust and transparency.
  • Highlight employee expertise through internal spotlights, profiles, and capability storytelling that connects individual contributions to the broader mission.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

• Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Journalism, or English, and six years of relevant experience, or the overall equivalent.
• Extensive knowledge of AP Style and corporate journalism.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• Attentive to detail with solid editing skills.
• Experience building relationships with diverse and geographically dispersed teams and stakeholders.
• Internal communications and stakeholder management experience.
• Ability to drive positive engagement from a diversified and widespread workforce.
• Leadership experience as either a direct people manager or project team lead.
• Must reside within commuting distance of York, PA or Sterling Heights, MI to support a hybrid work schedule.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

• Master's Degree.
• Defense industry, military, manufacturing industry, or automotive industry experience.

Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $92180 - $156707 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
