After School - Assistant Site Director

Benefits Collaborative Team Opportunity for advancement Training & development Responsibilities Assisting Site Coordinator in daily managerial tasks on campus, filling in for After School Site Coordinator when needed. Serving as a Lead Instructor on site by implementing and modeling instruction of daily activities in various enrichment classes. Maintaining classroom management and monitoring and maintaining child safety on playground and during snack break. Providing homework assistance and actively engaging with students. Organizing materials and maintaining a child‑friendly space. Communicating effectively with supervisors, peers, and parents. Supporting the iKids mission to provide high quality enrichment, tutoring, and care. Qualifications Minimum 1 year of experience working with children in a group setting (e.g., camps, coaching, teaching, group tutoring, childcare, child development, teacher assistance, special education, child therapy, instructional assistance, or substitute teaching). Energetic, engaging, dependable, flexible, with strong classroom management skills. Ability to work 5 weekday afternoons, Monday‑Friday, from 2:30 – 6:00 PM (12–17 hours per week) during the Austin elementary school calendar (August – May). Reliable, independent transportation to and from the assigned location. Schedule & Hours After school: day shift Monday to Friday. No nights, no weekends. Pay & Benefits Competitive pay rates starting at $17 per hour and up to $19 per hour.
