Case Manager Position Information Position Title: Case Manager Department: Educational Opportunity Center Posting Link: Job Type: Full-Time Posting Detail Information Position Summary The Student Support Services Unit of the Buffalo EducationalOpportunity Center (BEOC) is seeking a dynamic, dedicated, andcompassionate individual to join our team as a CaseManager to focus on providing comprehensive casemanagement and job coaching to students in the BEOC's Buffalo BuildSkilled Trades Pre-Apprenticeship Program and other workforcedevelopment programming. The BEOC, supported by the UniversityCenter for Academic and Workforce Development (UCAWD) and StateUniversity of New York, provides urban and/or disadvantagedresidents in the Western New York area with tuition-free academicprograms, workforce development training and certifications andgainful employment opportunities. The Case Manager position requires someone with stronginterpersonal skills, a commitment to advocacy, and the ability toempower students to achieve their personal and professional goals.This role requires strong organizational skills, empathy, and theability to work collaboratively with students and stakeholders. Key responsibilities of this position include: Conduct thorough assessments and develop individualized caseplans in collaboration with students, community agencies and otherstakeholders (i.e. housing, healthcare, legal, job placement,etc.). Facilitate engaging workshops and group sessions for studentson topics relevant to personal development and independence such asbudgeting, time management, and problem solving. Assist students in job readiness preparation, including resumebuilding, interview skills, and job search strategies. Provide students with on-the-job support and coaching to helpthem successfully integrate into the workforce. Monitor and track students' job performance and provide ongoingguidance for career advancement. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Education, Psychology orrelated field with 2 years of directly related experience in casemanagement or job coaching. Knowledge and strong understanding of social services systemsand community resources. Cultural competence and the ability to build rapport withdiverse populations. Proficiency with technology including Microsoft Office Suiteand student information systems. Evening and weekend hours will be required. A valid Class D driver's license to operate a motor vehicle isrequired or candidate must otherwise demonstrate their capacity tomeet the transportation requirements of the position. An equivalent combination of education and experience will beconsidered. Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in Social Work, Education, Student Personnel,Psychology or related field. Bilingual Experience working with academically under-prepared and/oreconomically disadvantaged adults. Salary Range $55,000 - $57,000 Special Instructions Summary This position is funded until 12/31/2027 by a grant from the NewYork State Office of Strategic Workforce Development and is subjectto the continued availability of funds from this grant.
