Position Overview Department: 37673 High Point Medical Center - Outpatient Rehabilitation: Physical Therapy Elm Status: Full time Benefits Eligible: Yes Hours Per Week: 40 Schedule Details/Additional Information: Monday-Friday with flexibility on start times. Potential for additional hours on Saturdays. Pay Range: $38.20 - $57.30 Position Highlights Location: High Point, North Carolina Relocation Assistance: Up to $7,500 in Relocation Assistance (for qualified candidates) What You’ll Need B.S., M.S., or D.P.T degree from an accredited physical therapy school. Current licensure in the applicable state. CPR certification in Basic Life Support, Level C. What You’ll Do Adhere to the general hospital standards to promote a cooperative work environment by utilizing communication skills, interpersonal relationships, and team building. Follow hospital and departmental policies and procedures, contribute to the overall quality of services, and keep informed about changes in policies and procedures. Provide patient care assessment and treatment. Ensure evaluations and treatments are comprehensive and functional, in line with the Standard of Practice, and establish realistic treatment goals. Encourage patients and significant others in goal setting, recognize changes in the patient's physiologic state, recommend next levels of care, ensure quality outcomes, and supervise support staff with direction and feedback. Maintain accurate documentation. Complete written patient evaluations, progress notes, and discharge notes per policy. Document patient/family education, charges, departmental statistics, and ICD-10 codes accurately and timely. Keep patient records systematically. Ensure documentation is legible. Meet department financial and productivity standards. Understand budgeted expectations, maintain productivity standards, and adjust individual schedules to meet patient and departmental needs. Participate in process management to optimize quality and efficiency. Identify quality and operational opportunities, communicate progress barriers, and research evidence-based best practices to improve patient care. Promote professional development and education of other health care workers; represent on committees; conduct in-service training programs to provide cutting-edge information; understand changes at local, state, and national levels; share clinical expertise with therapists, students, and other professionals. Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, staff, and external customers. Respond to staff questions, promote open communication, share information from seminars, inform supervisors of issues and resolutions, and ensure patient and family understanding. Provide appropriate patient care following age/developmental guidelines. Demonstrate age-developmentally specific knowledge, skills, and abilities for clients served; use such data in assessment; accurately interpret responses; and update knowledge of growth, development, and aging regularly for competence.
