What You'll Do As a Tooling/CNC Operator , you'll be a key member team of our team and will help test new fixtures and programs to produce machined parts by setting up and operating a CNC machine. Additionally, the technician will fabricate, assemble, and repair various types of composite mold tooling. Will also work with a variety of composite materials, hand tools, and power tools such as grinders, saws, and sanders. Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC equipment to prove out programs and machining concepts Assist in troubleshooting new programs/fixtures Configure tools and ensure efficient production Use dimensional measurement tools Lay-up composite materials Vacuum bag and consolidate materials Read blueprints, templates, process sheets, and other authorized documents Develop shop aids to facilitate the fabrication of composite parts Perform repairs Maintain electronic and paper records as required Maintain a clean and orderly work area Assist other operators Other duties as assigned or required Required WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM Experience running CNC machines Experience reading and understanding G Code Able to maintain quality and safety standards, record keeping, and maintain equipment and supplies Effective verbal, written, and mathematical skills are required Must be able to read, evaluate, and respond to product specifications, blueprints, and drawings, and perform normal math calculations easily Proficient and comfortable using a variety of hand and power tools Eye for detail and take pride in high-quality work Must work well independently and in a team with a great attitude Open to new ideas, challenges, and learning opportunities Self-motivated, dependable, and organized Ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship Helpful But Not Required Troubleshooting CNC machines CNC Tool Selection Optimization Knowledge in assembly, machining, ability to read and understand drawings, quality control, and safety Familiarity with cutting a wide range of materials is helpful Fagor controller experience Experience working with fiber composites Physical Requirements Ability to stand and move throughout the facility for the majority of the shift Ability to perform repetitive tasks with attention to detail Ability to lift materials and equipment as required Compensation And Schedule Monday Friday 7:30 a.m. 4:00 p.m. Starting Pay: $25.00/hour DOE Benefits And Career Growth At Epic Aircraft, we're committed to investing in our employees and providing opportunities for long-term success 100% employer-paid medical, dental, and vision coverage for employees 50% employer-paid coverage for eligible dependents 401(k) retirement plan with 3% company match Two weeks of paid time off accrued annually Seven paid holidays each year Paid company shutdown between Christmas and New Year's Day Discretionary year-end bonus program Company-provided work shirts Performance-based pay increases Access to the Epic Aircraft Flying Club Ongoing training and advancement opportunities Supportive team environment and company-sponsored events Note: Relocation assistance is not available for this position Build Your Future in Aerospace Whether you're beginning your manufacturing career or looking to develop new technical skills, Epic Aircraft provides a pathway to grow in a dynamic and rewarding industry.
