Job Title

Registered Nurse – Telemetry (Neurology)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Days (3x12-Hour Shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Telemetry/Neurology unit within a short-term acute care, Level II Trauma Center setting
• Monitor and assess patients with neurological diagnoses including stroke, various neurology conditions, and post-neurosurgery patients
• Administer and interpret the NIH Stroke Scale as part of routine neurological assessments
• Maintain a patient assignment ratio of 1:4, delivering safe and effective nursing care
• Float between units as needed to support staffing and patient care continuity
• Document all patient care accurately using Epic electronic health records

Required Qualifications

• Valid Washington State RN license or active Compact RN license (required at time of submission)
• Demonstrated comfort and experience with the NIH Stroke Scale
• Experience caring for neurology and neurosurgery patient populations
• Proficiency with Epic charting system
• Ability to work every other weekend as part of the contracted schedule
• Minimum of two professional references covering one year of experience within the last three years

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a teaching hospital or Level II Trauma Center environment
• Background in telemetry monitoring and interpretation
• Experience floating between units or sister facilities
