What You'll Do:
Deliver Comprehensive Patient Care:
- Perform comprehensive physical exams, assess medical histories, and evaluate patient symptoms to diagnose medical conditions
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as blood work, imaging, and other assessments to guide treatment decisions
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs
- Prescribe medications, therapies, and other interventions as part of holistic patient care
- Provide ongoing disease management, ensuring the health conditions of both acute and chronic patients are properly addressed
Educate and Support Patients:
- Offer guidance to patients and their families on health conditions, treatment options, and lifestyle changes
- Provide preventive care services, including screenings, immunizations, and wellness check-ups
- Counsel patients on health maintenance, nutrition, and self-care strategies to promote long-term health and wellness
Collaborate with Healthcare Teams:
- Work closely with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and optimize treatment plans
- Participate in team discussions and contribute valuable insights into improving patient care outcomes
- Support and mentor nursing staff and other healthcare team members to ensure high standards of care
Monitor and Adjust Patient Care:
- Regularly assess patient progress and monitor responses to treatments, making adjustments as necessary
- Document patient interactions, treatment plans, and progress in compliance with healthcare regulations using electronic health records (EHR)
- Advocate for necessary improvements in care based on patient feedback and evolving healthcare practices
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in nursing from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- Active Washington Nurse Practitioner license
- Board Certification as a Nurse Practitioner (e.g., Family Nurse Practitioner, Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner, etc.)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications preferred
- Prior experience in a Nurse Practitioner or Registered Nurse (RN) role is preferred
- Strong clinical skills in diagnosing, assessing, and managing multiple health conditions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient interaction and collaboration with healthcare professionals
- Ability to work autonomously and make sound, clinical decisions
