Overview Staff Accountant at Transdev located in Phoenix, AZ. The role supports supply procurement oversight, financial analysis, and month‑end reporting for the TAS division's autonomous vehicle operations. Key Responsibilities Procurement & vendor management: oversight of supply procurement, purchasing, bill coding, invoice management, pre‑authorized purchase orders, spend and inventory management; maintain facility records; Vendor onboarding and relationship management; identify new vendors and facilities; contract renewal and file maintenance. Accounts Payable: research and resolve AP billing issues, review vendors’ bills for accuracy, prepare monthly reconciliation reports, reconcile spend on company accounts. Accounts Receivable: prepare and review client billings and supporting documentation, ensure timely and accurate billing, monitor AR aging and assist with cash‑application questions. Finance/Payroll: backup payroll tasks (check processing, payroll issues), present payroll and invoice analytics, prepare month‑end revenue and expense accruals, collaborate on operational budgets. Other tasks: identify cost‑reduction opportunities, ensure company policy compliance, maintain safety standards, conduct ad‑hoc analysis, perform additional duties as needed. Required Education and Experience Must be 21 years of age or older. Bachelor’s Degree in accounting plus 2–3 years of industry experience. Strong knowledge of GAAP, general accounting, cost controls, and accrual accounting. Ability to understand complex billing and job costing concepts. Advanced user of Microsoft Excel; ability to create complex spreadsheets. Knowledge of automated accounting system, J.D. Edwards System. Experience in budgeting and forecasting is a plus. Proficiency with a laptop computer and GSuite apps. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) Good attention to detail. Adapt quickly to new and developing technology. Physical Requirements Occasional standing, walking, and sitting; long periods of sitting. Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 45 pounds. Most work is accomplished indoors.
