Registered Nurse - Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU)

The role involves providing nursing care in a cardiovascular intensive care unit. The nurse will manage patients post open-heart surgeries, vascular surgeries, and those requiring intensive monitoring. They will care for patients experiencing cardiogenic shock with devices such as IABP and CRRT. The nurse will be responsible for interpreting arterial blood gases, managing central lines, and administering blood products. Experience with care of ventilated patients and managing dysrhythmias is essential. The nurse will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physical therapy and respiratory services. Weekend and floating shifts are required as part of this position. Candidates must have a strong background in cardiovascular nursing and be prepared to handle complex patient needs. All necessary documentation and compliance requirements must be met prior to start. References are required covering experience within the last three years.
