Surgical Tech - Certified Surg Tech

Surgical TechnologistProfession: Surgical Services Specialty: OR Tech / Surgical Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (07:00 - 15:30) Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required License: Any active state license accepted for submission Certifications: Current CPR certification preferred Must-Have: Level 1 trauma experience or experience in a large Level 2 trauma center required Epic experience required Description: Must have Level 1 trauma experience or experience in a large Level 2 trauma center. This is a 13-week contract position. One call shift per week, totaling four calls within a four-week period. Holiday shifts will be assigned as needed. No weekend shifts are required. Experience with Epic is required. Job qualifications include: Education: High school graduate or GED required. Graduation from an accredited school of surgical technology or an Associate of Arts Degree in Surgical Technology from an accredited technical or liberal arts college, or a minimum of 10 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist is also acceptable. General experience in gynecology, vascular, urology, podiatry, orthopedic spine preferred. Current BLS certification is required. Certification as a Surgical Technologist is preferred but not required. This facility has 16 operating room suites. There is a potential for cancelation of two shifts due to low census for the duration of the contract. The agreement may be canceled with two weeks' notice without a fee or fine. Travelers are not eligible for employee incentives. Candidates may float within the hospital or to nearby facilities based on skill sets and census needs. Epic charting experience is required for all inpatient roles. Candidates must be comfortable floating without restrictions or special requests. Failure to disclose relevant past employment may result in cancellation of consideration for the position.
